Our Vision

A church fully devoted to Christ, deeply committed to one another, and boldly sharing God’s love.

….but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:31

What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and trustworthy Word, revealing His truth and will for our lives.

  • There is one God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus is God’s Son, who lived among us, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and sits at the right hand of the Father making intercessions for us.

  • We believe the Holy Spirit lives in us, guides us into all truth, and convicts of sin. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and empowers us for service.

  • We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him and are welcome in the church.

  • We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace made possible through Jesus.

  • We practice baptism and Communion and believe God continues to work through prayer, healing, and healthy marriages in our church community.

  • We believe God desires every believer to keep growing in body, soul and spirit by becoming more like Jesus every day.

  • We believe the church is God’s design for spiritual community, formed to glorify Christ and share His love with the world.

  • We believe the giving of our time, talent and treasure are acts of worship that support God’s work through the church.

  • Jesus will return, and God’s Kingdom will be fully realized.

Our Backstory

Eagles Way Church traces its roots back to 1964, when E.D. Goss founded New Life Assembly and faithfully served as Senior Pastor for twelve years. He later passed the leadership to his son, Buren Goss.

In 1985, three local congregations—New Life Assembly, Evangel Assembly, and Integrity Christian Fellowship—came together under Pastor Buren’s leadership to form a unified, non-denominational church known as New Life. In 1996, the church was renamed Eagles Way Church, inspired by the promise found in Isaiah 40:31.

For the past 50 years, Pastor Buren and his wife, Barbara, have faithfully led Eagles Way Church. Over six decades, EWC has experienced growth and change while remaining rooted in stability and biblical truth. Our leadership continues to seek the leading of the Holy Spirit, embracing future change when inspired by God and guarding against man-made traditions that could hinder His work.

  • “Grace isn’t reserved for good people. It’s simply the goodness of God.”
